“We had much progress in any procedures last year.

We commenced to have meeting concerning the selection

of the stakeholders’ representative for the leaders of the Mining

lease application area to acknowledge. This was to prepare two

stakeholders’ representatives of each village. The selection process

was completed last August. There were 89 representatives elected

for further additional research. This included the selection of the

consulting company to conduct studying the approved EIA to

make comments on any issues if they were considered to be

worried or concerned by the villagers.”

There were finally 31 additional issues added by the stakeholders’ representative after their meeting and obtaining the agreement for the consulting company
to further study. Those issues were completely conducted and the representatives then set the meeting to consider the results and they all subsequently
agreed and signed to receive the results on December11, 2014.

In 2015, APPC had the two main activities left to conduct including  public meeting  in the villages where were pending and the public hearing that opened to all
the Udon Thani people to participate in making their comments and the results derived would be further handed to the ministry to subsequently consider for
being the conditions accompanying the mining lease.

Thailand was expected to certainly have three major potash mines in north eastern region in 2015. We were keeping our fingers crossed if we were in the finish
line to obtain the approved mining license as well as which was our order compared to three potash mines. We really hoped deriving the good news very soon
because all our efforts were for Udon Thani people.
